Specific conditioning workout for tennis with many qualities involved:
- coordination
- footwork
- tennis patterns
- timing
- hand-eye coordination
At this age (group from 2008 to 2006) it has not to be the main part of training sessions, but it is important to start developing these patterns so they can better understand how to use their body on the court. And they all like this kind of training a lot, so very suggested once a week or every two weeks!
Growing up kids in sport requires effort, focus, passion, patient and sometimes you have to fight to teach how important can be to know and care about their body. But year by year you can see so good improvements about performance and attitude that you can realize that it was definitely worth. Only with a progressive and well managed process kids are mentally, physically and healthy ready to approach agonistic sport.
